Meet the Team – a highly experienced crew
Here are some of the key team members who are here to help you at Intouch with Health.
Steve Burton, Chairman. Steve has over 25 years experience in business having co-founded two venture capital companies and two industrial companies. He was Managing Director of Rolls-Royce subsidiary Stresswave Technology which he acquired in a management buyout. Steve is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and is experienced in all aspects of building innovative companies, particularly the process of turning new technology into valuable products and services.
I’m Paul Blackburn, Deputy Chairman and co-founder of Intouch. As well as assisting my team to deliver what you need, my speciality is in helping clients with their communication strategy and planning, ascertaining their needs, and showing how our products can be deployed to meet their various objectives. My particular speciality is Information Prescriptions.
Dr Rohit Sethi is Medical Director and co-founder of the company. Rohit is a practising GP experiencing the challenges of primary care head on every day. He is also a fully trained hospital anaesthetist and so can give the team a broad insight into what we can do to help the NHS meet its objectives. Rohit’s speciality is Self Care Education.
Gordon Lorimer is our Managing Director. Gordon has tremendous experience in the areas of Self Service technology and the implementation of large and smaller scale IT solutions in healthcare. His speciality is in optimising the patient flow, the self service business case and the patient experience. Steve Connolly is Intouch’s Technical Manager. Steve has been a developer for over 20 years using web, database and Windows technologies. He is responsible for support and development across a range of Intouch’s products and services plus infrastructure support.
Sue Bunn heads up Intouch’s new division developing Sexual Healthcare Support Software and has many years experience of working with healthcare providers and commissioners to devise IT systems which are fit for purpose.
Debra Powiesnik is our Business Development Manager. With a background in business consultancy, sales and training experience with major pharmaceutical companies and osteopathic medicine, she is passionate about developing innovative partnerships with those working at every level of our NHS client organisations. Debra has a special interest in neuro-linguistic-programming – look out Paul McKenna! In her day job, her speciality is advanced website development.
Shirley Birkbeck is responsible for Customer Services. With several years experience working with Intouch’s clients, Shirley has much to contribute in providing support and after care. Her mission is to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction! Her speciality is touch-screen kiosks.
Paul Backwell is Intouch with Health’s head of technology and has access to 17 highly talented developers with Microsoft Gold Level certification. His technical project managers are fully Prince2 and Agile trained, including a SCRUM manager trained by one of the creators of SCRUM, Jeff Sutherland. He is expert in the application of the latest generation of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Web 2.0 solutions to meet health service needs.
Janet Smith is Intouch’s IT Manager and a systems analyst by background. Her main role is to define and manage the work of the technical team in building and maintaining Intouch’s various products, including patient surveys and patient check-in, and in setting them up and customising them for the company’s many clients.
Mike Sanders is Intouch’s lead Projects and Implementations Manager. Mike has many years experience in Healthcare IT and specializes in Self Service technology where he has managed the implementation of numerous projects across the UK and Ireland.
David Warburton is Intouch’s lead Patient Self Service Consultant. After 22 years in the NHS, David has specialised in the exciting area of patient self service. In addition to developing our customer base he has been responsible for helping Trusts to develop their business cases to support the deployment of patient self service applications.
